Founded in 1978, SEM Architects has one of the largest portfolios in the commercial, retail and industrial sectors in the Rocky Mountain West region. Building on early commissions in the development industry, the firm has evolved from a business-focused enterprise to a full-service, design-oriented architectural practice.&rsquo

In its first decade, SEM advanced from serving local clients to playing roles in regional and national projects. By the mid-1990s, as the fi rm went national, its services grew to encompass comprehensive architectural, master planning, entitlements, and interior design services for our clients in retail, industrial, office and build-to-suit markets. Recent years have seen an expansion of our portfolio to include local neighborhood retail and restaurants, regional mixed-use town centers, and office parks and corporate headquarters, as well as roll-out programs for national retailers.
